Who can take part
- You are an adult (not a child).
- Your cardiac arrest happened outside the hospital and was not caused by trauma.
- You had at least 20 minutes without chest compressions before treatment was underway.
- You were not fully awake—either you couldn’t follow verbal commands (low FOUR score motor response) or you are intubated and sedated because of agitation after sustained return of heartbeat (ROSC).
- You can be enrolled in the intensive care unit without limits (no planned restrictions on the level of care).
- You must be enrolled within 4 hours after ROSC.
