Who can take part
- Child age 1 to 18, with DIPG that has grown again on MRI after surgery/chemo/radiation
- A brain biopsy is done before the virus injection to confirm the DIPG diagnosis
- Tumor must be reachable for stereotactic (guided) biopsy
- Child must score at least 50 on the study’s health/activity readiness scale (LPS for ages 1–15, KPS for 16+)
- No pregnancy and, if able to become pregnant, a negative pregnancy test is required
- Blood counts and liver function must be strong enough for treatment (certain low counts and high liver tests are not allowed)
