Who can take part
- You have a newly diagnosed DIPG or DMG tumor in the brain stem (not a previous cancer treatment).
- Your diagnosis must be confirmed (with biopsy for some cases) and the tumor’s histone change must be confirmed on pathology.
- You’re between 12 months and 18 years old, and the study may focus first on patients age 12+.
- You can start radiation within 42 days of the diagnostic imaging, and the first study dose must be 6–10 weeks after starting radiation.
- You must be able to measure the tumor on scans and have adequate overall functioning (Lansky/Karnofsky score above the trial’s threshold).
- You should not take temozolomide during radiation, and you should not have certain immune problems or active infections.
- You must not have cancer spread to other areas (disseminated disease) or receive any cancer treatment other than radiation before joining.
