Who can take part

  • You have confirmed ER-positive invasive breast cancer (ER level more than 1%).
  • Your cancer is advanced or has spread (locally advanced or metastatic) and you have at least one measurable spot on scans.
  • You have not had chemotherapy for advanced/metastatic breast cancer.
  • Your cancer must be resistant to hormone therapy (it came back within 2 years of adjuvant hormone treatment, or hormone treatments have not worked after up to 2 lines for advanced disease).
  • You must be premenopausal or perimenopausal based on menstrual history or hormone blood tests (or you’re on a monthly/ongoing ovarian-suppression shot and can document you were premenopausal before it).
  • Your health tests must be within required limits (blood counts, liver/kidney function, and urine protein), and you must be able to give consent and follow study visits.
