Who can take part

  • Age 17 to 45
  • If you have schizophrenia-spectrum illness: diagnosis must be confirmed by medical record review
  • Body mass index (BMI) 27 or less
  • You must be able to do MRI/PET scans without metal or breathing/space-related problems
  • You cannot have prediabetes or diabetes, based on an oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT)
  • No pregnancy, nursing, or significant substance misuse
