This study tests whether a single dose of a common antipsychotic medication affects how the brain responds to insulin, which could help explain weight gain and metabolic side effects. Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is between 18.5 and 24.9 (normal weight range).
  • You have no current or past psychiatric illness or substance use disorder.
  • You do not have diabetes or prediabetes, and have no family history of diabetes in a parent or sibling.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or using hormonal birth control or hormone treatments.
  • You have no metal implants, pacemaker, or other MRI contraindications, and are not claustrophobic.
