Who can take part

  • You are a woman between 18 and 35 years old.
  • You have a body mass index (BMI) between 18.5 and 24.9 (healthy weight range).
  • You have regular menstrual cycles (every 21 to 35 days) for the past 6 months.
  • You do not have a history of psychiatric illness or diabetes.
  • You are not using hormonal birth control (like the pill, patch, or hormonal IUD) and have had at least two periods since stopping it.
  • You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or within one year of giving birth.
  • You do not have any metal implants, pacemaker, or other MRI safety issues.
  • You are not taking certain medications like weight loss drugs or dopamine agonists.
