Brain energy and glutamate in schizophrenia

Who can take part

  • You can be a healthy volunteer with no psychiatric history.
  • Or you have schizophrenia that is well-controlled (in remission) and you take an antipsychotic like olanzapine, risperidone, quetiapine, amisulpride, aripiprazole, or paliperidone.
  • Or you have treatment-resistant schizophrenia, you take clozapine or another listed antipsychotic, and your symptoms are moderate to severe.
  • No diabetes or diabetic medication, no metal implants or electronic devices in your body, and no severe claustrophobia.
  • Must be able to give informed consent and not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
