Who can take part
- Your cancer must be confirmed as “ALK-positive” on validated genetic testing (next-generation sequencing).
- You must be able and willing to have a fresh tissue biopsy for the study (with some blood/bone-marrow options for some blood cancers).
- If you can become pregnant: you must have a negative pregnancy test and use very effective birth control starting before treatment, during treatment, and for 3 months after the last dose.
- If you are male: you must not father children during treatment and for 3 months after; you must use barrier contraception (and/or ensure your partner uses very effective contraception).
- You must be able to take the medicine by mouth (swallowing/tolerating pills) and not have major stomach/intestine problems that affect absorption.
- You must have no major heart problems or recent stroke/heart attack, and no prior organ transplant.
- You must not have lung inflammation/scarring (interstitial lung disease/pneumonitis) or a history of it that hasn’t fully resolved.
