Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with familial hypercholesterolemia (inherited high cholesterol) in one gene copy (heterozygous)
  • You are an adult age 18 to 50
  • Your LDL (“bad cholesterol”) is higher than 100 mg/dL (over 2.6 mmol/L) at the start of the study
  • Your kidney function is not severely reduced (eGFR is 30 or higher)
  • You have not had past heart or blood-vessel events from plaque (like heart attack or stroke)
  • You do not have atrial fibrillation, an irregular heart rhythm
