Phase 3 trial for tricaprilin in Alzheimer’s dementia

Alzheimer Disease

Part of Brain & nervous system, Mental health clinical trials.

This trial tests tricaprilin to see if it helps slow or improve symptoms in people with probable Alzheimer’s dementia. It looks for specific brain changes, blood test results, and gene status that support an Alzheimer’s diagnosis.

  • Your memory/cognition test score (MMSE) is between 14 and 24
  • You had a brain MRI scan within the last 12 months that fits Alzheimer’s
  • Blood tests support Alzheimer’s (Aβ42/40 and/or pTau217 results)
  • Your genetic test shows you have the APOE4 type
