Who can take part

  • You had surgery for esophageal cancer (esophagectomy) at least 3 years ago
  • You can sign a consent form and agree to follow the study steps
  • You are not currently taking osteoporosis medicines like teriparatide, denosumab, or bisphosphonates
  • You do not have active cancer now (except very early “in situ” cancer)
  • You have not had recent radiotherapy and you have not needed long-term steroid medicines for months
