  • You have fatty liver disease (NAFLD) confirmed by a clinician or tests
  • You also have metabolic syndrome (a set of metabolic risk factors)
  • Your liver condition is due to NAFLD (not another liver disease)
  • You do not currently have cancer (no known malignant disease)
  • Your heart and blood-vessel condition is controlled (not uncontrolled cardiovascular disease)
  • You are not pregnant (and pregnancy would rule you out)
