Breathing-mist medicines for cleft palate surgery pain control

Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for cleft palate repair surgery
  • You are generally healthy for anesthesia (ASA physical status I or II)
  • You do not have an allergy to dexmedetomidine or ketamine
  • You have permission to take part (no parent refusal)
  • You do not have a known or suspected difficult airway for anesthesia
  • You do not have major problems with your heart, lungs/asthma, kidneys, liver, or certain hormone conditions; and you do not have psychiatric disease
