Who can take part
- You are scheduled for cleft palate repair surgery
- You are generally healthy for anesthesia (ASA physical status I or II)
- You do not have an allergy to dexmedetomidine or ketamine
- You have permission to take part (no parent refusal)
- You do not have a known or suspected difficult airway for anesthesia
- You do not have major problems with your heart, lungs/asthma, kidneys, liver, or certain hormone conditions; and you do not have psychiatric disease
