Who can take part
- You are a healthy adult (classified as ASA I or II by your doctor).
- Your body mass index (BMI) is below 30.
- You are scheduled for elective (non-emergency) nose surgery.
- You do not have serious health problems like liver, kidney, or heart disease.
- You do not have hearing loss, trouble thinking, or a history of substance abuse.
- You are not allergic to dexmedetomidine or similar medicines, and you are not planned to go to the intensive care unit after surgery.
