Who can take part
- You do not smoke, and you are 18 to 55 years old (or up to 70 in some groups).
- Your body mass index (BMI) must be in an allowed range (about 19–35, or BMI 30–50 for some groups).
- Your kidney and liver blood tests must be at or near normal for the local lab.
- You must have a normal heart test (ECG) or only minor changes the study doctor considers not important.
- If you can become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and agree to birth control; if you are a man who has heterosexual sex, you must also agree to contraception rules.
- You must not have certain major health problems (like unstable diabetes, significant heart disease, major liver disease, or certain infections such as HIV, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C).
