Who can take part
- Have lung tuberculosis that is confirmed to be resistant to rifampicin (from a test done within the last 3 months)
- Have a positive sputum test showing tuberculosis bacteria (acid-fast bacilli at least 1+)
- Be able to stop all previous tuberculosis medicines and wait 7 days before starting the study drug
- Be within the study body size limits (BMI 15.0 to 28.0, and weight 40 to 90 kg)
- Not be pregnant or breastfeeding; if you are, you must agree to contraception during the study (or for men, your spouse must use contraception)
