Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 60 years old.
  • You weigh between 40 and 90 kg (about 88 to 198 pounds).
  • You can produce at least 10 mL of sputum (phlegm) overnight.
  • Your TB bacteria are sensitive to the antibiotic rifampin (not resistant).
  • You have received no more than 3 days of TB treatment in the past 6 months.
