Who can take part

  • Be age 40 or older
  • Have been discharged from the hospital between 2016 and 2022
  • Your discharge diagnosis must be coded as COPD based on your primary diagnosis
  • If you have a breathing test (spirometry), at least one test must show a post or pre FEV1/FVC ratio under 0.7
  • Your hospital admission should not be for a cause other than COPD
