Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18 or older) having a coronary bypass operation
  • Your surgery may be done on-pump or off-pump
  • You can sign and understand the informed consent form
  • Your surgery is not being done as an emergency for a sudden heart problem
  • You paused certain blood-pressure medicines (ACE inhibitors or ARBs/AT1 blockers) the day of surgery
