Who can take part
- You must be age 3 to 21 and have an established COVID-19 diagnosis
- You must be going to the hospital specifically for COVID-19 treatment
- You cannot have severe liver problems (ALT more than 6 times normal)
- You cannot have significant kidney problems (creatinine more than 1.5 times normal) or be on dialysis
- You cannot be pregnant
- You cannot have certain major medical histories (for example severe allergic reaction to arginine, recent stroke, major heart disease, major lung disease like cystic fibrosis or sickle cell lung issues, or an organ transplant)
