New graft to help repair large rotator cuff tears

Who can take part

  • You have a large-to-massive rotator cuff tear affecting the supraspinatus and infraspinatus tendons
  • Your tendon has not pulled back too far (retraction score 3 or less)
  • Your tendon muscle fat change is limited (fatty degeneration score 3 or less)
  • Your surgeon thinks the tendon can be pulled back and reduced during surgery
  • You can have a pre-surgery MRI scan
  • You can read and complete the study questionnaires and outcome scores
