Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for an endoscopic thyroidectomy (minimally invasive thyroid surgery through the neck).
  • You do not have hyperparathyroidism (overactive parathyroid hormone levels).
  • You do not have hypoparathyroidism (underactive parathyroid hormone levels).
  • You have not had prior neck surgery.
  • You have not had radiation therapy to the neck (cervical radiotherapy).
