Who can take part
- Your baby is less than 1 month old
- An echocardiogram (heart ultrasound) shows possible or definite aortic arch blockage (or narrowing)
- Your baby is admitted to the cardiac intensive care unit (CICU)
- Your baby’s care team agrees to ask you, and you (or your parent/guardian) choose to sign informed consent
- Your baby does not have known MRSA or VRE bacteria (resistant germs)
