Who can take part
- You are an adult (age 18 or older).
- You are scheduled for brain surgery (craniotomy) to remove or treat a brain tumor.
- Your tumor is inside the brain tissue (intra-axial), not on the brain’s surface.
- Your tumor is in the upper part of the brain (supratentorial).
- You do not have a known history of seizures or epilepsy.
- You are not already taking a seizure-prevention medicine and can safely take levetiracetam (no allergy, and you can swallow it if needed).
