Predicting fluid needs while lying face down in ARDS

Who can take part

  • You are an adult (including if you are under legal protection/wardship)
  • You have ARDS, a serious lung condition diagnosed using standard Berlin criteria
  • You are currently lying face down (prone) following international guidelines
  • You have a calibrated continuous heart output monitoring device in place
  • A clinician wants to try a fluid bolus because you show at least two signs like mottled skin, fast heart rate, low blood pressure, low urine, low cardiac output, or high blood lactate
  • You are not making breathing efforts (no spontaneous respiratory effort)
