Who can take part

  • You are being referred to start an initial ECT course for depression
  • Your depression diagnosis includes treatment-resistant unipolar major depression or bipolar depression
  • You have tried at least two antidepressant medicines at adequate dose and for long enough without full success
  • You do not have schizophrenia or schizoaffective disorder
  • You can tolerate wearing the Dreem device for sleep recordings
