Who can take part
- If you have major depression, you must be diagnosed with major depressive disorder (DSM-5).
- You must not be taking antidepressant medicine right now.
- If you are a healthy volunteer, your blood inflammation marker (CRP) must be 1 mg/L or lower.
- You must not have major mental health conditions like schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, or dementia.
- You must not have serious ongoing medical problems, infections, or long-term inflammatory diseases (like inflammatory bowel disease or rheumatic diseases).
- You must not be pregnant or breast-feeding, and you must not have BMI 40 or higher.
