Shockwave treatment after difficult stent expansion

Who can take part

  • You have a heart artery blockage that is moderately to severely calcified
  • The stent placed earlier is not fully expanding (more than 20% under-expansion)
  • Prior attempts to prepare the blockage failed using either a non-shock (NC) balloon or an atherectomy device
  • You are able and willing to give consent to take part
  • You are not currently pregnant
