Who can take part

  • You were hospitalized for ACS within the last 3 months and are now medically stable (no heart pain at rest and only minimal symptoms for at least 1 week)
  • You are age 45 or older
  • Your genetic test shows the required AA genotype from a study-approved testing site
  • You have already been started on recommended LDL (“bad cholesterol”) treatment, including medicines and/or diet, before joining
  • You can be randomized within 3 months of your index ACS event
