Who can take part

  • You have obesity: BMI 30+ or BMI 27+ with a weight-related health problem
  • You’ve tried weight-loss habits before but they didn’t work
  • You have a primary care clinician you see as your main doctor
  • You do NOT have diabetes based on your history or recent blood sugar tests
  • Your recent blood tests (liver, pancreas, kidney, blood counts) must be within safe limits
  • You must be able and willing to follow the study diet and activity plan
