Who can take part
- You are age 18 or older.
- You have been newly diagnosed with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and it is stage C.
- Your cancer has one main liver spot, with or without limited spread (up to 3 metastases in up to 2 organs, each ≤3 cm).
- You have not had any prior treatment for liver cancer.
- You must be able to do daily activities fairly well (ECOG 0–1) and have good enough liver function (Child-Pugh score 7 or less).
- Your blood counts and organ lab tests are high enough for treatment, and you can get measured tumor scans.
