Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You can sign consent and are willing to be in the study.
- Your thyroid ultrasound shows one cancer nodule that is 1 cm or smaller, and it is at least 2 mm away from the thyroid covering.
- There is no cancer spread to lymph nodes or other areas in the neck (as judged by imaging and exam).
- Your papillary thyroid cancer was confirmed by fine-needle biopsy (a needle sample).
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you can complete thyroid questionnaires accurately.
