Who can take part
- You have had your thyroid removed due to cancer in the past.
- The cancer has come back in your neck and has been confirmed as cancer by a needle biopsy or fine needle aspiration.
- There is no sign that the cancer has spread to other parts of your body (like lungs or bones).
- You can have at least 12 months of follow-up care.
- You do not have serious bleeding problems or severe heart, breathing, liver, or kidney failure.
- The vocal cord on the opposite side of your neck from the recurrence is working normally.
