Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have either a type of heart attack called NSTEMI or unstable angina (chest pain that comes on suddenly).
- You are scheduled to have a procedure to open blocked arteries (called PCI or angioplasty).
- A CT scan of your heart in the last 3 months showed a high-risk plaque (a dangerous fatty deposit in an artery).
- You do not have active bleeding, a bleeding disorder, severe liver or kidney disease, or a recent stent in the same artery.
