Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older
  • You recently had a spinal cord injury and are staying at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital
  • Your injury level is between C1 and C8 (neck area)
  • Your injury severity is classified as AIS A, B, C, or D (meaning some movement or feeling may remain)
  • You are willing to give your informed consent to take part
  • You do not have a pacemaker, active infection, pregnancy, or other conditions that could interfere
