Who can take part

  • You are between 16 and 65 years old.
  • If you drink alcohol, you must have at least mild alcohol use disorder (AUDIT score > 4 and meet 2 or more DSM-5 criteria).
  • If you smoke, you must be either a daily or non-daily smoker (7 or fewer days per week) for at least the last 3 months.
  • You must speak German well enough to understand instructions and questionnaires.
  • You must be available from 3 pm to 6 pm on two days in a row (for one part of the study).
  • Women: you must be in the luteal phase of your menstrual cycle (for one part of the study).
