Who can take part
- Age 18–55 years old
- Drink heavily most weeks (men: 30+ drinks/week; women: 20+ drinks/week) AND have frequent heavy drinking days (men: 5+ drinks at once; women: 4+ drinks at once)
- Meet moderate-to-severe alcohol use disorder criteria (at least 4 out of 11 symptoms)
- Not currently taking medications for mental health or alcohol reduction, or blood thinners
- No other active substance use disorders (cocaine, opioids, cannabis, etc.)
- No severe mental health conditions like schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or current depression/anxiety
