Who can take part
- You must be newly diagnosed with AML that started on its own (not caused by another cancer treatment or bone marrow problem).
- You must be between 1 day and 18 years old at diagnosis.
- You and your family must agree to the study plan and follow-up visits.
- You cannot have had chemotherapy or radiation before for any reason.
- You cannot have certain other conditions like Down syndrome leukemia, APL, MDS, or JMML.
- You must have normal heart function and be willing to use birth control if needed.
