Who can take part
- You have been diagnosed with chronic heart failure (long-term heart pumping problem) by a doctor.
- Your blood tests show BNP levels above 100 pg/mL or NT-proBNP above 300 pg/mL (markers of heart strain).
- An echocardiogram shows that the pressure in your lung artery (PAPs) is slightly high (greater than 30 mmHg).
- You do not have shortness of breath from lung disease, blood clots, or primary lung hypertension.
- You do not have heart failure from valve disease, infiltrative disease, or genetic causes.
- You do not have active cancer, advanced liver or kidney disease, or are not awaiting a transplant.
