Spinal cord injury education study for adults

This study is looking at how well a special education program helps people with spinal cord injuries manage their health and daily life after leaving the hospital. It is for adults who recently finished their first rehabilitation stay and have a spinal cord injury from the C5 level or lower.

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old.
  • You have a spinal cord injury starting at the C5 level or below (can be complete or incomplete).
  • You are signing up no later than 4 months after finishing your first rehab stay for the injury.
  • You are not pregnant (if you are a woman who could become pregnant).
  • You do not have thinking or memory problems that would make it hard to give informed consent.
  • You do not have a stage 3 or 4 pressure sore (bed sore).
