Who can take part

  • You had a double lung transplant at least 12 months ago.
  • Your lung function (FEV1) has dropped to between 51% and 85% of your best measurements, and this drop has lasted over 30 days.
  • You have been diagnosed with BOS within the last 12 months.
  • You are on a stable regimen of three standard anti-rejection medicines (prednisone plus mycophenolate or azathioprine plus tacrolimus or cyclosporine).
  • You have not taken sirolimus or everolimus in the last 4 weeks.
  • You are well enough to undergo routine bronchoscopy (a scope down your airway to look at your lungs).
