Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 80 years old
  • You have had symptoms (like a mini-stroke or stroke) and a 50% or more narrowing in the neck artery, OR you have no symptoms but a 70% or more narrowing
  • You are able to keep follow-up visits and be reached by phone
  • You do not have a serious blockage from other causes like artery inflammation or a tear
  • You have had certain ultrasound tests before and within a week after the artery-opening procedure
