Ultrasound study for severe neck artery narrowing before stenting

Who can take part

  • You must have severe narrowing in the main neck artery (internal carotid) or the first part of the vertebral artery, confirmed by ultrasound.
  • You must be scheduled to have a stent placed within 2 weeks of the ultrasound, and also have DSA and CTA scans.
  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must have complete medical records available.
  • You must not have certain other blockages or conditions that could affect the ultrasound results.
