- You are 18 years or older.
- You have a significant blockage in the internal carotid artery that is either causing symptoms (like a mini-stroke) in the last 6 months or is very severe (over 70% blocked) without symptoms.
- Your common carotid artery is wide enough (more than 6 mm) for the procedure.
- You do not have other serious heart problems, bleeding issues, or recent major surgeries.
