  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You have a traumatic brain injury with bleeding that is classified as moderate to severe.
  • You are currently taking an antiplatelet medication (like aspirin or clopidogrel) and took it within the last 48 hours.
  • You are not taking a blood thinner for clots in your legs or heart (like warfarin or apixaban).
  • You do not have other serious injuries like broken bones or damage to your internal organs.
