Who can take part

  • Your baby was born before 29 weeks of pregnancy.
  • Your baby is currently less than 36 weeks corrected age (from due date).
  • Your baby does not have a known genetic syndrome or major birth defect.
  • Your baby does not have a serious lung or heart condition (other than a small hole in the heart or a commonly seen duct).
  • Your baby can safely be taken off breathing support for a short MRI scan.
  • Your baby does not have a current respiratory infection.
  • Your family speaks English or French and follows up at one of the study hospitals.
