  • You have type 1 or type 2 diabetes for at least 3 years
  • You have been on diabetes medication or insulin for at least 2 years
  • You have not had stomach or esophagus surgery in the past
  • You are not currently taking opioids or have not taken them in the last year
  • You do not have severe bleeding problems, liver cirrhosis, or active cancer in the stomach
