Who can take part

  • Your child must be under 18 years old and have a serious traumatic injury.
  • The hospital has activated a 'massive transfusion protocol' because your child has or is suspected to have severe, life-threatening bleeding.
  • Your child must have at least 2 out of 3 signs of severe bleeding: low blood pressure, very fast heartbeat, or clear signs of a serious injury.
  • Your child does not have a devastating brain injury that doctors believe is not survivable.
  • Your child has not already received another study drug or been enrolled in this trial before.
