Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have been diagnosed with ultralong-segment Barrett's esophagus (a condition where the lining of your food pipe changes over a long distance)
- You are healthy enough to undergo an endoscopy (a tube with a camera placed down your throat)
- You have not had cancer in your mouth, throat, or esophagus (stage T2 or higher), or trouble swallowing
- You have never had certain treatments for Barrett's esophagus like photodynamic therapy, radiofrequency ablation, or argon plasma coagulation
- You have not had a stroke or other brain event in the last 6 months that affected your swallowing
